20s
In our 20s, we have a strong network of collagen and elastin which helps give our skin plumpness, and a youthful glow. However, usually later in this decade we start to notice "motor wrinkles" or expression lines, caused by repetitive movements and hyperpigmentation, caused by the environment and harmful rays from the sun. 30s
In our 20s we stop producing collagen, resulting in starting to see visible signs of aging in your skin, and your skin may begin to look more tired and less radiant. In our 30s major things start happening under the surface of the skin. The effects of glycation are starting to appear causing fine lines and wrinkles and our natural cell turnover cycle is slowing down. This is a VERY important time to pay close attention to your skincare routine, especially what you're doing in the evening to support skin health and age prevention as you sleep. At age 30, it is estimated we start losing 1-2% of collagen every year, making this decade crucial to start healthy skin habits if you haven't already!

When we enter our 40s, we can start to really notice changes in our facial volume ("fullness") due to changes and redistribution to underlying subcutaneous fat layer, by this decade we start seeing a 10-20% decline in collagen.
